Prior Design

Updated Design

myProfile - WisBar

The State Bar of Wisconsin’s website has been going through mobility updates. One of the sections I tackled in this project was the myProfile page.

The first update I made was to the section above the fold. I opted for more custom, relevant information.

Most lawyers are only on the site to pay their dues, or to update their information. With this insight, I chose to move the dues information to the top of the page, with a button taking the user straight to the “Dues” page.

From there, users are able to select a section they’d like to edit. These changes were made to increase the efficiency of the UX. I even squeezed in a custom welcome message at the top of the screen as a friendly touch.

The prior design allowed users to edit fields the moment they open the page. This not only allowed for confusion, but also cluttered the page.

In my overhaul, I locked in the information and added an “update” button. While this added a level of redundancy to the design, it broke up the forms into more digestible sections.

Because of how much space the prior form system took up, the new design was able to add in every form in less space.
